Thursday practice (1) - Dutch MotoGP, Assen

Full Thursday free practice times (1) from the Dutch MotoGP at Assen, round 7 of 18.
The injured Dani Pedrosa has been replaced at Repsol Honda by Hiroshi Aoyama this weekend, with HRC test rider Kousuke Akiyoshi taking Aoyama's Gresini Honda seat.

Tech 3 Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow is making his return from a broken collarbone at Silverstone two weeks' ago.

This morning's session was soaking wet.

Much improved time by Rossi. I dont know the weather conditions or any details of practice, but from watching the live timing he seems much more competitive. When he dropped down behind Stoner and Abraham he was able to move on and go faster. This bodes well for a much more interesting championship and races ahead.
