A damp track caused by overnight rain meant that although the track opened at 10am, all bikes remained in the pits until 11:15am.

All twelve manufacturer riders are present for the three-day test, plus the Forward Racing and BQR 'Claiming Rule Team' teams.

The test marks the first time that the new version of the Ducati GP12 has been seen in public.

World champion Casey Stoner is not testing today after aggravating an old back injury whilst stretching this morning. The Australian aims to return tomorrow.
