World champion Casey Stoner beat the best 800cc test time on only his second lap, during cooler conditions this morning.

The track opened at 10am and will close at 6pm.

All twelve manufacturer riders are present for the three-day test, plus the Forward Racing and BQR 'Claiming Rule Team' teams.

The test marks the first time that the new version of the Ducati GP12 has been seen in public.
