Monday MotoGP test times - Jerez

Lap times from the first day of a private MotoGP test session at Jerez on Monday.
A private MotoGP test session is being held at Jerez this week, attended by four of the new Claiming Rule Teams (CRTs) as well as the Ducati Test Team.

There is no official timing at the test. These times are as provided by the teams or the official MotoGP website.

The PBM (not on track on Monday) and Ioda teams are making their debut this week, while satellite Ducati MotoGP riders Karel Abraham and Hector Barbera are due to be on track during days two and three respectively.

Yeah, i wouldnt read into the times too much at this stage. Moto2 has had three years of development now and this is their first time using the 'proper' bike and not just a sbk with some bridgestones. thats not bad from petucci as well, 20hp down, no carbons and on a par with passini whos already had an outing. Whilst the talk is about electronics on these bikes being pivotal, the chasis may prove to be just as important. If you can get a package which works with the tyres, the brakes and the electronics then i dont think the crt's will embarrass themselves this year... at least i hope they dont

... cont. however, given Dani's best race lap is only a few tenths under 1.40, Randy's time looks very promising for his team and the CRT concept. I only hope Biaggi gets a wild card attempt.
