Smith was referring to its handling but, not wanting to sound like he was making excuses, was very diplomatic about the huge speed disadvantage. Had he overtaken Luthi on the final lap he would still have lost out on the race to the line. You should've have listened to what Tom Jojic had to say about his performance.

Great race all round. Bradley was clearly making time up around the corners and pulling away from the much heralded Marquez. The Tech3 team and Bradley should be congratulated. I am sure there is more to come from that bike, particularly when they make up the speed shortfall. Redding not far off either.. The little 600 is still giving him issues. I know they have been working on the geometry of the bike so hopefully it is helping him get more comfortable.
