Friday practice (2) - US MotoGP, Laguna Seca

Full Friday free practice times (2) from the US MotoGP at Lagua Seca, round 10 of 18.
The session was red-flagged with ten minutes to go following an accident for Valentino Rossi. The Italian was unhurt but his Ducati damaged the airfence, forcing repairs before the session could be restarted.

Alvaro Bautista and Cal Crutchlow also fell this afternoon.

Cardion AB Ducati's Karel Abraham is returning to action this weekend, while Pramac Ducati's Hector Barbera has been ruled out by a broken leg in a training accident.

Barbera has been replaced by former MotoGP race winner Toni Elias, who split from the Aspar Moto2 team after Mugello.

The US GP also sees AMA rider Steve Rapp become the first wild-card entry of the season and first ever for the new CRT class.

Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa has one of the new RC213Vs available for Laguna Seca, while team-mate Casey Stoner has the new engine in the present chassis, as he had requested. Ducati are expected to debut 'some' new parts.

"Desperate crash from Rossi trying to match Hayden's blazing pace". Some blinding pace by Hayden there he was on it, outclassed Rossi, ohh wait... I thought he was only 0.3 ahead of Rossi (which he set after the red flag on his no.1 bike, while Rossi was on his no.2 bike) & 1.2 behind Pedrosa. That's what I thought, I guess I'm blind, I'll have to go watch qualifying again! Glad to see Valentino, Cal & Alvaro walk away from their crashes.

Thought I no Pedrosa fan, people better watch out if the midget stays healthy. He's getting faster and faster now. Everyone seems to want to crown Lorenzo already, but damn if the mini-robot isn't running him down now. My best around Laguna is 1:36.34. I can't even imagine how scared sh!tless I'd be running 15 seconds quicker a lap! Simply unreal.
