Combined MotoGP test times - Jerez

Combined lap times from the final three-day MotoGP pre-season test held at Jerez in Spain.
Monster Yamaha Tech 3's Cal Crutchlow finished the final 2013 MotoGP pre-season test on top of the timesheets.

Rain interrupted all three days at Jerez, with dry running restricted to several hours on Sunday and then Monday afternoon, when Crutchlow delivered the quickest lap of the test in the closing minutes.

Dani Pedrosa, Alvaro Bautista and Ben Spies did not ride on the final day.

Crutchlow joins Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa (Sepang I) and Factory Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo (Sepang II) in setting the fastest overall lap in an official 2013 test.

The breakdown in terms of top rider on each of the nine days of formal pre-season preparation is: Pedrosa (5 days), Lorenzo (2), Valentino Rossi (1) and Crutchlow (1).

The opening round of the 2013 season takes place at Losail, Qatar from April 4-7.

Good for Cal, but nothing to take from this test, every year is the same crap, rain... rain and more rain. I understand why they go to Jerez (3rd race of the season, affordability, blah blah blah) But when are they gonna come to their senses and realize it is not a good time to test there, I mean moto2/3 was mainly wet, moto GP wet as well... and Malasia well.. Malasia is a freaking rain forest!!! There 's gotta be othe circuits where they could get their agendas done with out being 90% wet. To add to that they only get to use 4 sets of wets which is equivalent to a day and a half of running at the most. Heck, at least WSBK go to Phillip Island right before the race. Anyways, I was kinda hoping Yamaha got to try their new chasis but It's gonna have to wait. Just a couple of more weeks and one of the most anticipated seasons in years starts at last. Enjoy all!!
