Italian MotoGP, Mugello - Free practice (2)

Free practice times (2) from Italian MotoGP at Mugello, round 5 of 18.
Dry session.

Valentino Rossi led much of the session before team-mate Jorge Lorenzo moved ahead on his final lap.

Marc Marquez was taken for medical checks after a high speed accident along the 200mph main straight and later declared to have escaped serious injury. Fellow rookie Bradley Smith also suffered a heavy fall and is having a left arm injury examined.

Pramac Ducati's Ben Spies is returning to action after missing the last two races due to his healing shoulder. After replacing Spies at Le Mans, Ducati test rider Michele Pirro is making his third appearance of the year this weekend, this time as a wild-card on the factory's 'lab' bike.

Great to see Vale up at the sharp end ! Needs more of the same for qualifying tomorrow though ! A front row start for him on Sunday might just give us the race that all us Rossi Fans have been waiting for ! Forza Vale !
