Catalunya MotoGP test times – Monday (Final)

Lap times as of 6pm, at the end of Monday's post-race MotoGP test at Catalunya, Spain.
Following Sunday's Catalunya MotoGP a test session was held at the Spanish circuit on Monday.

The test marked the first time that Suzuki has attended an official test since the end of 2011. Suzuki announced this morning that it will return to MotoGP, in 2015.

Aspar's Randy de Puniet, who previously tried the new inline four-cylinder Suzuki in a private test at Motegi, was again riding the machine in Catalunya, with factory test rider Nobuatsu Aoki also present.

Repsol Honda were not at today's test, having opted to move straight to Aragon where a further MotoGP test will be held later this week.

Monday's track action began at 10am.

More impressive is Randy on the Suzuki- look at him go! Out with the big boys and he's well in the ball park. Despite Hayden and Dovi setting fair times I think Suzuki's performance today will be accompanied by the sound of Italian hands slapping foreheads... Think they should come back for 2014 if they're this quick already.

Suzuki test machine clocked 1m 42.676s - this is impressive and ready for 2014! The bike & performance looked decent. Nothing is perfect in both 2014 & 2015. As I've said, Suzuki must have their reasons delaying the debut but if circumstances permit, one should push the bike out to the track soonest possible. On another note, Aleix hit 1m 42.537s on his CRT!!! Think this is very decent result!
