Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are using the factory's new seamless shift gearbox for the first time in a grand prix weekend.

Avintia debuted a pneumatic-valve Kawasaki engine for Hector Barbera this afternoon.

Ducati test rider Michele Pirro is again replacing the injured Ben Spies at Pramac. Pirro is back on the development 'lab' bike this weekend. Cardion AB's Karel Abraham is returning from injury.

Funny how some people seems to behave here... If it was Rossi behind a CRT and 2 Ducatis, it'd be something like this: Rossi exposed, he should have give his bike to someone else, etc, etc, etc.. Well, your beloved Crutchlow finished the practice behind a CRT and 2 Ducatis (one of them is Pirro!) Should he give his bike too?? :l
