The penalty points go on their licence, after so many it's a back of the grid start, more added it's a pit lane start, any more and it's a race ban. They don't take them off the championship points. The points weren't for the crash but because he appeared to ignore the yellow flags and didn't slow down. He said he didn't see them.

Jorge is now level with Dani but still a fair way back from Marc with only 5 races to go. Its not an impossible hill to climb but you have to think that it will take a DNF from Marc to give Jorge a realistic chance. Jorge cannot afford to make any mistakes now. Nor can Dani.
