Huge highside for Stefan Bradl, who walked away checking his right hand and has been taken to the Medical Centre. Valentino Rossi was constantly in and out of the pits, only posting a complete flying lap with three minutes to go. Rossi will start his home race, and 300th GP, from tenth.

Nicky Hayden has withdrawn from the remainder of the weekend due to his wrist injury. Michel Fabrizio is replacing the injured Danilo Petrucci, while Ducati test rider Michele Pirro is competing as a wild-card.
