Sepang III test times - Wednesday.

Fiat Yamaha, Repsol Honda and Honda Gresini, plus the Yamaha and Kawasaki test teams are present in Malaysia - although, as planned, Hayden and Repsol Honda finished their Sepang test programme today (Wednesday).

For the second day in succession, Valentino Rossi set the fastest time of the day with the use of a Bridgestone qualifying tyre, although the Italian was slightly slower than his Tuesday best.

Of the other race riders, Hayden, Nakano and de Angelis also used a qualifying tyre to set their best lap time.

Rossi's best race tyre lap was a 2min 1.371secs, Hayden's a 2mins 2.309secs, Nakano's a 2mins 2.539secs and de Angelis' a 2mins 3.029secs.

* The best lap time for each bike (identified by the letter 'P' or 'T'), rather than each rider, was provided for the Yamaha test team, which consists of of Wataru Yoshikawa and Toshihiko Fujiwara.

I''m sure that Repsol know what they are doing - BUT - with all the resources available to them wouldn''t it have made sense to have a couple of their own test riders there to help out. It must be a nightmare for Hayden having to test everything as well as concentrate on getting himself ready for the season. :p

Nicky may be having to shoulder all the development testing, but he really is delivering the goods for Honda. Fastest on race tyres yet again. The Repsol Honda's look they will be able to mount a serious challenge to Ducati.
