Brno - Qualifying times.

Repsol Honda's Nicky Hayden is absent from the event after injuring his right heel on a Supermoto bike at the X Games on August 1.

Honda Gresini's Shinya Nakano is riding a 2008 factory spec (valve-spring) RC212V for the first time this weekend, a bike which will form the basis of Honda's 2009 satellite machine.

The Brno circuit has been resurfaced for this year's event. Rain affected both of Saturday's MotoGP sessions, with qualifying taking place in atrocious conditions.

Don't be a tommy tanker mate. Michelins are having a right **** of a time, first time here on a motogp bike for toseland in crap conditions. Considering his results this year people are all to quick to slate him, he's in the same boat as people with alot more experience, bad timing is why he didn't put in a time. He'll do fine in the race, kin' armchair wannabes!

Major congrats to Hopper. I don't expect him to finish 3rd if it's dry tomorrow but an impressive performance. It would great to see a Kawasaki on the podium.
