Aleix Espargaro and Aprilia lead Friday practice for the Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island, while the likes of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are left outside of the top ten.

Home star Jack Miller is returning to action after breaking his right tibia in a trials incident on September 29.

Tech 3's Jonas Folger returned to Germany on the eve of the Motegi round to undergo tests for a suspected recurrence of the Epstein Barr virus and is replaced this weekend by Broc Parkes.

I can write whatever I want.

Three position better than VR if you can read.

You re butthurt because Pedrosa critisized your yellow snail god?

Show how classless most of rossis fans are. He made a dirty move, but instead of blaming him, you blame the guy he pushed off the track. Zero Sportmanship, 100% ignorance and fanboyism.

Honestly where are the mods on this site? I don't know how the guy above me hasn't been banned yet.

Close session. Top 10 separated by 0.5. Impressed by Miller and Aleix. Hope they can mix it up for the podium.

Yamaha again very bad,the 2017 M1 problems are highly lickely the engine, the 2017 model has more power and probably the engine internal components are the problem not the frame and weight distribution! The power output is not right and Yamaha are trying to compensate with electronics wich is not working clearly, they need to rebuild the engine for 2018 or Rossi will retire,he cant win with current concept, for the life of god Yamaha do something about it or we will loose the greatest rider off the last 20 years of the sport!

Are you reffering to MV? Because even with last year bike, VR can't win. Maybe MV can.

you re joking right? Yamaha did everything to change it for rossi. Even thoug he said he got his old feeling back and plus he got the old michelin tires he wanted and still he cant win.

Since they changed the chassis for Rossi, Vinales cant win anymore. Vinales said it that he dont like the new chassis and he was faster with the old one at philip island. Now you have the perfect comparison. While Rossi who was slow at pre season test was happy today, but he is still slow and vinales is still faster, even though the bike is made how rossi likes it but he cant win anyway. So yamaha lost the championship for vinales to make rossi faster and yet he still is slower than vinales. If this is not a fail, what else?

MV doesnt have to use the "new" one - can always opt for the old one. he controls the parts he wants to use. the change was to solve front issue and was better - but now the issue moved to tire life on the rear. so even if MV will change it wont help much.

as soon as MM and AD got a grip on what they need - MV was not competative and was looking for a solution. yamaha doesnt have a solution yet.

overall i agree that with current and prev version of the bike - MV is faster than VR

i hope they use these last 3 weekends to work for a better GP18 bike

2018 could be epic with 3 competative factories

Great development aprilia with Alex Espagaro,  nice for iannone with suzuki and Pol Espagaro with  ktm. Hope next year all factory can be compete in all races.  It will make more interesting motogp..

But poor  vr,  he and yamaha must be realize that vr does not in his peak performance again.  Zarco may be can replacement for him in the next.  But we see yamaha will still hold him because vr figure is increasing yamaha sale.

Dovi show his talent, without meaningful competition from team mate (like last year) as when iannone still in ducati,  he is able to show good progress. Now he is chalenge Marquez for championship..

With the constelation in last of this season, i believe next season is to be great competition for more riders and more factories...

Did Dani get it on with your mum or something? Very bitter individual....
