I don't know how up to date this information is but on Wiki about Ivan Silva as a test rider for Ducati MotoGP, "he finished last in every practice session and in qualifying, despite Casey Stoner taking pole on identical equipment". I know he did well on a ZX10R in the Spanish 1000cc Formula Extreme last season but I don't see how he's gonna catch the factory leaders let alone even stick with Tech3 and Gresini. Even Hayden on a factory Duc only finished 13th in the championship. But that's what development is all about I suppose... for the future... when the bikes change to 1000cc again. It's a bad time to start development on a 800cc GP bike. But as a fan, the more the marrier.
