Some will be old, some new, some motor sport and some road cars and bikes. We might even go for the odd tenuous link that just amused us.
Anyway, this week we bring you, amongst other things, some crazy Japanese classic car drifting, some properly mental Spanish bikers and a Corvette-powered RX7.
Click the title we've given each video (bold) to go to the video. Enjoy.
1. Model V12 EngineYet again we give thanks to The People With Far Too Much Time on Their Hands, this time a German bloke who took it upon himself to build a fully-working, scale model of the push-rod V12 motor.
2. Spanish motorbike insanityFor the love of God, please don't try this at home. These guys have clearly landed on their heads one too many times - check out three people getting their knee down on one bike, powerslides Garry McCoy would be proud of and some completely insane Supermoto action. Oh, and some big offs too.
3. Point of view RC carsWe did a news story on this yesterday, but the video is so cool we thought it worthy of inclusion in this week's video round-up. It must be a pretty intense experience with the full immersion goggles on - things happen very quickly for radio control cars... I wonder what a crash would be like?
4. Classic car driftingCourtesy of the excellent Auto Otaku Japanese car blog, we have some footage of '70 chassis Corollas' being drifted in a completely insane fashion. The silver car is the one to look out for - check out the entry angle and speed.
5. Radio control driftingStaying on a drifting theme - this time in scale. Doing this in real life is impressive enough, but doing it on such a tiny scale, with no 'feel' whatsoever, is barely believable.
6. Tanker implosionOur left-field entry this week comes courtesy of the French, with this demonstration of... er, something. Anyway, who cares what it's supposed to be demonstrating, it's an epic failure of the coolest, most spectacular variety.
7. Kobe's first attemptYou might have seen the video that's been doing the rounds of US Basketball star, Kobe Bryant, jumping over a moving DB9 cabriolet (if not, click
here) - well, this is 'one of the practice attempts that went wrong'.
8. Lexus LF-A flypastLexus
will be entering their LF-A supercar into this year's Nurburgring 24hr race - this is some footage of it hammering down the straight of the GP circuit. Sounds incredible.
9. V8-powered RX7You have to admire Mazda's determination with the Wankel motor, but it's not exactly well known for its impeccable reliability. Of course, the RX7 is a lovely car with a strong following, but what do you do if you don't want the hassle of the engine that comes with it? Well, you drop a Corvette V8 in the front, obviously.
10. Fiesta CosworthThank goodness for people like A1 Motorsport. They decided that the ST was a bit wet and what the Mk6 Fiesta really needed was a 400bhp Cossie motor and four wheel drive - good choice. This thing takes off like a cat that's just had its tail set on fire. Sounds like an old-school rally car too - which is cool.
