A1 Team Lebanon is the latest team to join the rookie tests at Snetterton this week, with new driver Chris Alajajian being given the opportunity to test for his nation.

The 19-year-old has been competing in the Australian Formula 3 series, where he finished the championship in third place, including winning the A1GP Sydney, Australia support race at Eastern Creek.

He will sample the car at the British track today and tomorrow.

“This is a great opportunity for me; it'll be the most powerful car I'll have driven to date,” Alajajian told the official A1GP website - www.a1gp.com. “Representing the country of my heritage is also a very unique prospect.

“I was part of the support races at the Eastern Creek A1GP round, and it's an exciting feeling knowing that I'll actually have the chance to drive an A1GP car myself next week.”

Khalil Beschir, who has been capped eight times for his country, meanwhile has also been granted special dispensation to test and reacquaint himself with A1GP machinery.
