Press Snoop: Wallace's record-breaking pole.

ANDY WALLACE, racing #20 Thetford/Norcold Lola EX257 AER LMP1 for Dyson Racing, broke the existing track qualifying record for Sunday's American Le Mans Series Infineon Technologies Grand Prix of Sonoma at Infineon Raceway with a 1min 21.688secs lap. Wallace said the car and Michelin tyres were perfect.

LIZ HALLIDAY, racing this weekend with Intersport, will also be at the Spa race. The last weekend in July will be quite a race clustered weekend, with Spa overseas, ALMS in Portland, Grand American Rolex Series at Barber Park, Champ Car in the streets of San Jose, Indy Racing League at Milwaukee, and NHRA at Infineon Raceway. Then there's NASCAR. While Nextel Cup gets a rare weekend off, Busch Series is at Gateway, but Trucks are also off.

The ALMS race 'sprint' starts at 11am Sunday, local time, and is televised on CBS, starting at noon local time.
