The fastest car line-up was much the same Saturday morning for American Le Mans practice as it was in Friday's test session at Infineon Raceway for the Infineon Technologies Grand Prix of Sonoma, with one exception.

Rahal Sr, looking quit fit and tanned, came early to the Northern California wine country, as he wanted to check out a vintage car in Petaluma for a friend. Rahal has quite a collection of his own, and plans to race two of them next month at the Monterey Historic Races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. He will drive his 1961 Ferrari SWB, Lola T290, as well as a BMW for BMW North America. More than 400 vintage, historic and antique cars are entered for the thirty-second annual Historics, which will feature Great American Specials such as Old Yaller, Scarab and DAN GURNEY's Chapparrals.
