Aston Martin Racing completed preparations for its return to the American Le Mans Series at this weekend's Petit Le Mans marathon with a two-day at Road Atlanta over the weekend.

“The car has taken a bit of getting used to,” the Irishman confessed, “It has great downforce and carbon brakes, which I haven't used for a couple of years, but it feels quite stable and the engine is very good - you can really carry a lot of speed into the corners. The track itself is quite narrow so, once we get other cars and traffic out there, it will be quite tricky, but it is really good fun to drive.”

Lamy will have Road Atlanta veteran in the #58 car this weekend, recreating the winning pairing from May's Tourist Trophy at Silverstone, and will also be joined by IRL regular Tomas Enge. The Czech has had to miss several possible outings in the car because of his US commitments, and Road Atlanta appears to be his last chance to drive the DBR9 this year, as Kox and Lamy will share the car for the four-hour ALMS finale at Laguna Seca on 15 October.
