The American Le Mans Series announced its twelve-race schedule for 2008 on Friday at the annual State of the Series address at Road Atlanta.
Next year's season will begin with the 56th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on 15 March, before three straight street course races - at St Petersburg, Long Beach and Houston in April.
The series then returns for its third consecutive season to Miller Motorsports Park, before taking its traditional break to allow teams to head to France for June's Le Mans 24 Hours.
The series resumes on 12 July at Lime Rock Park, before moving, one week later, to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
August sees three races - at Road America, the only stop outside US borders at Mosport and on Labour Day weekend at Detroit's Belle Isle.
The season concludes with trips to Petit Le Mans and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in October.
As in 2007, the ALMS will once again share double-header weekends with the Champ Car World Series at Long Beach, Houston and Road America and with the Indy Racing League at St Petersburg, Mid-Ohio and Detroit.
"When we announced last year's schedule, I said that if we could come back and duplicate it in '08, we would be overjoyed," said ALMS president and CEO Scott Atherton. "Thankfully, that statement was an example of: 'be careful what you wish for - you might just get it!'.
Again, I believe we have the strongest overall schedule in American racing. We touch nearly all the important business markets and race at the best road courses and street circuits in North America. The fact that we have announced virtually the same schedule this year is the hallmark of a maturing, stable, successful series. We could not be more pleased."
