"But when I came in for a driver change, the crew gave us a flawless pit stop. David was able to get out there with an even stronger car and just did an awesome job holding off the Dyson Porsche throughout his run."

Key to Highcroft's success was a quick turnaround at the pit-stops which saw Brabham catapult his Acura in front of the Dyson Porsche paring.

"Everyone was sliding around a fair amount today, but we had absolutely superb pit work with a very quick stop under the yellow," relished team owner Duncan Dayton.

"We hit our pit-stop window exactly and were able to get back out there ahead of the Dyson Porsche."

Sharp and Brabham head into the third round of the ALMS series at Long Beach in second place in the LMP2 class 24 points behind Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas in the Penske Racing Porsche RS Spyder.
