The Corsa Motorsport team is to head to the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City this weekend in an effort to promote next months American Le Mans Series event at the nearby Miller Motorsports Park.
The team will set up shop outside the stadium for the NBA game between the Utah Jazz and the Denver Nuggets with its two
Ferrari 430s to promote the race with fans able to get up close to the GT2 machinery.
The team will also provide a display for some of the Jazz's home NBA playoff games as and well its racing schedule allows.
"I love the American Le Mans Series and I want nothing more than to help it grow and create awareness in the Salt Lake City market about our team and the effort the series is making at Miller Motorsports Park," team owner and principal Steve Pruitt said. "By tapping into a solid fan base like that of the Utah Jazz, I think we can help strengthen the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix presented by The Grand and Little America Hotels and create more visibility for the facility and ALMS in addition to educating locals about this style of racing."
The team heads to the arena this weekend on the back of a fourth place finish in the St Petersburg race in what was the first outing for the team this season after the withdrawal from the season opening Twelve Hours of Sebring and general manager of Miller Motorsports Park Alan Wilson said he was pleased to have the support of the team ahead of the next months event.
"Steve Pruitt and Corsa Motorsports have been a great supporter of Miller Motorsports Park and the Larry H. Miller Utah Grand Prix presented by The Grand and Little America Hotels," he said. "They are, for all intents and purposes, our 'home team' and part of the Miller Motorsports Park family.
"We appreciate them being part of our Miller Motorsports Park Night promotion at the EnergySolutions Arena, and I know the fans will be excited to see their beautiful Ferrari racing cars."
