Primetime Race Group has agreed a deal that will see Hankook become its official tyre supplier in the American Le Mans Series.
The two have agreed to work together under the terms of a tyre development and supply agreement that includes equipping the team's Dodge Viper with Hankook Ventus F200 racing tyres for the remainder of the season.
“After meeting with Primetime Race Group, we realised that they have the same passion for success as Hankook,” Bill Bainbridge, director of brand communication for Hankook Tire America Corp, said. “They are an excellent fit for our race tiye development program and we believe that together we can reach the ultimate goal of getting the team on the podium.”
Drivers Joel Feinberg and Chris Hall tested several specifications of Hankook race tyres at Roebling Road Raceway in Savannah last week ahead of the fourth round of the season at Miller Motorsports Park with Hankook engineers on hand to work with the team to get the best from the tyres ahead of the Utah Grand Prix.
“We race on Hankook tyres in IMSA Lites and we knew that they have had success in a number of other forms of motorsports,” Feinberg said. “Last week's test session was a fantastic reinforcement of our decision to partner with Hankook.
“The performance of the tyres speaks for itself and we're excited to go racing with Hankook on our Viper.”
