“Right now I'm looking forward to putting something together for the 2009 season in the American Le Mans Series,” he concluded. “The series is going from strength-to-strength; it has a huge fan following and it is definitely where I want to be next year. We've had our fair share of ups and downs throughout the year but being on the podium in our first race was a great start and taking the fight to the other prototypes when we could was always a highlight.

“Obviously losing two cars in big accidents during the year was unfortunate, particularly at Petit where we had made it to the last hour and a half before the crash. For Petit our first goal had been to just finish, knowing that it would be a race of attrition, so it was a real shame not to finish, especially after getting over all our problems early on in the race.”
