Q&A: Luke Hines – EXCLUSIVE.

After making his GT racing debut last season with Team LNT, Luke Hines will switch to Damax for the 2007 British GT Championship season driving the team’s Ascari KZ1R.

Luke Hines:
It’s been a late deal to drive the PSI Corvette C6.R. I went testing at Nogarro and it went very well. The team was impressed and they phoned my yesterday [Wednesday] to say they wanted me in China. It’s been a late deal and I’ve had to go and get a visa sorted out so it has been late. But I feel that if I go well and prove myself to the team, then it could go on to Le Mans and the full season.

Q:
How much are you looking forward to making the step up to international level racing?

Luke Hines:
“The quality of drivers and teams at international level and the circuits – and races like the Le Mans 24 Hours – is great and the racing is one of my dreams. Doing touring cars was one of my dreams and the other is Le Mans, so if I can do, and do it successfully, it will be the icing on the cake.
