On Saturday 15 July the BBC will be holding the Sport Relief charity event in a marathon evening of entertainment – and you can do your part at Snetterton during the latest rounds of the British GT Championship and F3 International Series.

“This is going to be a fun event to raise some money for some very worthwhile causes,” Bernadette Fitzsimons, SRO general manager, said. “The drivers have agreed to run in their race suits, and the teams in their racing colours, and this Sport Relief run will certainly be different from the other one mile runs being planned throughout the country. We hope that lots of people will come and join us.

“I'd like to thank circuit owners MSV for their support in staging this event and for the race teams for their unanimous support. We hope to get a minimum of 500 runners on the track, which will certainly raise a lot of money for Sport Relief 2006.”
