Having campaigned a Porsche 997 for Team RPM during the 2007 Avon Tyres British GT Championship, Matt Griffin and Peter Bamford are to switch teams for 2008 after being confirmed as the first pairing to join Chad Racing for its return to the series.
The pair will line up in one of two
Ferrari 430s entered by the Essex-based squad, with a second driver pairing having already been signed up but still to be confirmed by the team.
"We are going to run two Ferrari F430's competing in a full season of British GT," team manager Piers Masarati explained. "The first car arrives on 10 January, with the second arriving in February.
"The driver pairing of Matt Griffin and Peter Bamford delivers plenty of racing experience and the deal with the second driver pairing is completed and we'll announce the names in the New Year. Throughout the 2007 season the Ferrari was arguably the quickest car and with proven reliability.
"Potentially we will have a one of the strongest driver line up on the grid next season and we've backed this up by employing key people with Ferrari experience on the engineering side providing strength and depth for next season."
The team will also run a GT3-spec Lamborghini Gallardo in the Belcar Series, with the possibility that the car could run in selected British GT rounds during the year.
