Jeremy Metcalfe will aim to kick-start his Avon Tyres British GT Championship title bid at Knockhill as the series heads to the Scottish circuit next weekend for the second round of the season.
Metcalfe and team-mate Luke Hines endured a trying start to the campaign at Oulton Park after problems with their CR Scuderia
Ferrari 430 and will head north of the border keen to open their account for the season.
While the weekend will mark Metcalfe's first outing at the Scottish venue aboard his Ferrari 430, the former single-seater racer has driver GT machinery at the circuit before having contested the two races of the Porsche Carrera Cup at the venue last season – leaving him confident for the second meeting of the year.
“I'm really looking forward to
Knockhill, it's a track I have experienced before in a GT3 car so I'm confident we can go very well indeed next weekend,” he said. “The team tested at Knockhill last week and although I wasn't able to take part due to the problem with our car from
Oulton Park, I'm confident I'll be able to hit the ground running.
“Luke and I are definitely going out to win both races, I think it's a realistic aim as I'm confident we'll be very quick. It's a short and narrow track, so it will be important to get some clear qualifying laps, but if all goes well I'm confident we'll be in a position to win.”
