Fresh from a first win of the year at Silverstone during the European GT4 Cup season opener, Beechdean Motorsport has announced plans to expand to a two-car team.

The team, which currently runs a single Aston Martin N24 for team boss Andrew Howard and Jamie Smyth, will run the second car in the two-hour Avon Tyres British GT Championship events at Silverstone and Donington Park later in the year.

Beechdean will also enter a team into the annual Britcar 24 Hours, which takes place at Silverstone in September, with drivers for the programme set to be announced in due course.

The announcement of the second Beechdean N24 to the British GT Championship grid will come as a welcome addition to the field with the GT4 class having been dominated by teams running the Ginetta G50 thus far.
