Former British GT Champion Jonny Cocker is to return to the Avon Tyres-backed series for the fourth round of the 2008 season this weekend at Snetterton.

Cocker, who won the title in 2004, will join Tech 9 for the weekend in Norfolk to partner Leo Machitski in one of the teams Lamborghini Gallardos. Cocker previously drove with Machitski back in 2006 when he helped him secure the inaugural GT3 title.

"I'm looking forward to racing with Leo again," Cocker said. "The Lamborghini is going well this year, with Leo and Jason getting pole position in both races at Rockingham. I just hope the car will be as good at Snetterton as it was two weeks ago.

"I'm also looking forward to returning to Snetterton where Paul [Drayson] and I had that very important win and I hope Leo and I can make another big impression this year. I've been keeping an eye on what has been going on in the championship this year and it looks like it is going to be pretty exciting in Norfolk."

Cocker is spending the 2008 campaign racing in the American Le Mans Series after Drayson-Barwell elected to head Stateside and enter the new Aston Martin Vantage GT2 into the series, but could still make further British GT outings as the season progresses.
