Although Linn had led after the pit-stops, he was hauled in by Rob Austin who set about extending a lead in the class as Linn then came under pressure from Bradley Ellis for second. Despite a drive-through penalty for somehow speeding in pitlane during the driver change, Austin was able to maintain the lead through the chequered flag to secure victory while Linn and Ellis battled for second.
Every lap as the pair came round, the positions appeared to be changed and with two laps to go, it was Ellis who had battled into second. However, a mistake at the final corner gave Linn the chance to get a run onto the start-finish line and he took second going into the final lap. Ellis then tried to break almost impossibly late into the Chicane on the final lap and ploughed into the side of Linn as he almost straight-lined the final corner. Despite what was almost an assault on track, Linn managed to hold second over the line and it later became the race win when Austin was handed a penalty for overtaking Ellis under yellow flags shortly after completing his driver change. The #55 Ginetta dropped to third in the standings as a result.
