Allan Simonsen has put the Christians in Motorsport Ferrari 430 in pole position for the final race of the 2008 Avon Tyres British GT Championship season at Donington Park.

Simonsen notched up a best time of 1 minute 09.165 seconds on his final lap and was congratulated by team-mate Hector Lester on his return to the pits.

Nick Foster and Nigel Redwood meanwhile will line up alongside them on the front row in the Team RPM Viper, 0.255 seconds slower on a 1m 09.420s.

Jeremy Metcalfe and Luke Hines were third in the CRS Ferrari while Guy Harrington and Ben de Zille Butler in the Team Modena Lamborghini share the other place on row two.

Tom Alexander and Michael Bentwod came in fifth, with Michael Meadows and James Sutton sixth.

Matt Nicol-Jones and Stewart Linn claimed another GT4 class pole ahead of Joe Osborne and Phil Bailey.
