We did some racing back at home in Northern Ireland at Kirkistown. It was at the St Patrick’s weekend close to club event. We did the practice day on the Friday and then decided to stay for the race. It was just a bit of fun and we did the 600 race and the Superbike race on the 600 and I won them both! It was just a bit of fun and a bit more time on the bike really. It went pretty good, it’s a nice way to open the season. I’ve got a one hundred percent record I suppose so far. This year on the 600 I’ve won one 600 race in Ireland, one Superbike race in Ireland, and now the first round of the British Supersport Championship, if I can keep that run going well into the season I’ll be happy.
I’m heading back to the Welsh boarder to get a couple of nights at home and then back down to Thruxton on Thursday. There isn’t much time to recoup so I’m quite fortunate that I didn’t hurt myself too bad, just bangs and bruises so they should recover ok come the weekend. Should be fit enough come Friday for
Thruxton.
See you all there - let’s hope I can win with no crashes this time round!
