Mixed day for you on track can you talk us through what happened in race one?
Jonathan Rea:
It was just a racing incident. I'm sure Leon didn't mean for both of us to go down. It was a bit of a brain out of the tool box manoeuvre, you just don't really pass there. I only hope he is alright after his incident in race two. We could have done with out the DNF in the first race but the second race really made up for it. When our back is against the wall we came out fighting and we have proved what a team we have behind us. It was so emotional after that one, to win here at Honda's circuit. They have lacked that for two or three years and we have just won the Manufacturers' title as well so it is going pretty good.

Do you enjoy racing here?
JR:
I really like the circuit, but the nature of the circuit is so physical. After ten, eleven, twelve laps it is really quite draining and a lot of riders make mistakes which is exactly why they all crash towards the end of the race. I think there are a lot of aspects of the circuit that need to be taken into consideration regarding safety but hopefully that can be addressed before next year and it will be even bigger and better.

Do you know yet what your plans are for next year?
JR:
I'll probably know in about 45 minutes! The next phone call I make now will decide that, so we shall see.

Can you tell us who it is?
JR:
Well, it is between... I can stay in BSB with my current team and also a few other teams in BSB. I can move to World Superbike with Ducati Xerox or move to World Supersport with Ten Kate Honda who are prepared to put a good plan behind me. I've heard two parts of the deal now and I'm waiting to hear the ins and outs of the third deal. After that I will have a lot of thinking to do and then come up with my plan.

Once that decision is made will you be able to concentrate on
Donington Park and Brands Hatch?
JR:
For sure, I've been a nervous wreck this weekend. Every one was saying, “No pressure, don't worry about it,” but they don't know what they are talking about because they are not in my shoes. So by Donington the decision will be made and we will just go out and fight and fight and fight until we can't give anymore. Hopefully that is enough to take the Championship, but Kiyo has a nice little healthy gap now so we just need to be on top of our game really. I'd just like to thank everyone for all their support.
