Kiyo bounces back as Rea falls.

Sunday, 22nd July 2007

Once again the HM Plant Honda riders have mirrored each others fortunes with Ryuichi Kiyonari making up for his crash in race one by winning race two. Jonathan Rea on the other hand crashed out of race two following his second place finish in race one.

Kiyo briefly handed the Championship lead to Rea due to his crash first time out but that was shorted lived as he has reclaimed it and is now16 points clear of his young team-mate once again.

Rea crashed at the Bus Stop burying his bike in the barriers so that the marshals struggled to remove it. The race had to be red flagged due to the stranded bike and the results declared as it was beyond two thirds race distance.

Leon Haslam once again stepped onto the podium but one step higher than in race one securing more points for his Airwaves Ducati team and their title chase. His team-mate Gregorio Lavilla had to settle for seventh place due to his one week old rib injury from Oulton Park.
