I’m picking up my new Motocross bike soon. It’s a CRF250 Honda – that will be fun to play with! I enjoy getting out for a good thrash across the fields. I need to play golf too; I’ve not done that in ages as the weather has been too cold. I’m missing cycling as well, but with the cold weather and my chest infection I can’t risk it. I’ve been training in the gym just looking at TV screens and letting my mind go numb.
My aim this year is to finish in the top three, but my ultimate goal is to win the championship. If I finish in the top three I’d be happy, but it is my second year and I think I can do it. I’ve certainly got the tools and the team behind me, so there is no reason why not.
I know what I need to do and that is to be consistent all year – look at some of the results Kiyo [Ryuichi Kiyonari] had during the early part of last year, but he still won the title. I need to stay on the bike, pull in the results and I should be there.
That is all I have to report at the moment, but I will catch up with you guys again soon,
Cal
