After a snowstorm cancelled the planned Brands Hatch season-opener, Thruxton finds itself hosting the very first races of the 2008 Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend.

It's hoped that the appointment of a single tyre supplier to the series will increase competitiveness between factory and privateer riders across the grid. Sunday will put that theory to the test.
