Elsewhere, Michael Laverty will be eager to replicate the form of Isle of Man TT winning team-mate Cameron Donald on the Relentless Suzuki, while the two MSS Discovery Kawasaki’s of Stuart Easton and Billy McConnell will also be keen to get themselves in the mix.
In addition, injury-riddled Karl Harris could spring a surprise after finally getting himself off the mark at Donington Park, the Rob Mac Racing Yamaha rider showing flashes of what he can achieve once fully-fit again.
In the Daily Star Cup, John Laverty will be looking to tighten his grip on the trophy, but his Buildbase NW200 Ducati could be under threat from the Hondas of Martin Jessopp and Tom Tunstall while Chris Burns could head them off aboard the STP MV Agusta.
