My bikes are actually sitting in the truck as the team have built a separate one for Ian Lougher and Michael Rutter is using his own two. So they are not actually my bikes but it is odd seeing them head out on track and Lougher in my place in the awning it is a very surreal feeling really. I’ll never say never but at the minute I don’t particularly plan to race at the North West 200 because of the danger element. It would be so nice because it is such a big race in Ireland and to do it and do well, but at the same time you look at the guys who crashed on Tuesday and there is just no room for error, and at this stage in my career I don’t think it is worth taking that risk.
We’ve had glorious weather the past couple of days so hopefully it will stay like this; we are just enjoying ourselves it feels like we should be in Spain not Ireland! I’ve just been chilling out really; we were in the Anchor pub last night so we had a bit of a late night, so I’m going to watch the supercross now as Gordan Crockard and the boys are racing and that is going on just outside Ballymoney. Then we are heading out to Kelly’s night club, I think it will be a big night. Looking forward to it!
Roll on Mondello.
See you there.
Michael
