In the latest of his exclusive columns for Crash.net, former Rizla Suzuki racer John Reynolds talks about his passion for biking and playing with aeroplanes.....
Hi guys,
Well it was a tough weekend for the Rizla team at
Snetterton, it didn’t really start too well with Shakey going off at high speed. It was tough, but racing is time and again.
I feel so sorry for James as he always seems to be carrying injuries and it would be just great to see him fully fit and riding the bike properly they way we know he can. It is awkward, but Jon Kirkham had a good chance to shine this weekend and he did a sterling job. Ok, he had a bit of a tip off in the first race, but he is riding really well and looking like he could move up some positions and have a good result - but of course you’ve got to finish to get them.
Prior to Snetterton, I spent some time on the Isle of Man for the TT and it was fantastic, I went over with Suzuki and hosted a load of dealers over there, basically to have a weekend away and we had a great time. The weather was good and the racing was fantastic and we were with a great bunch of people – it was a ball and we really enjoyed it! I did one lap of the TT circuit in the back of a big bus, and that was fast enough for me! It was great fun watching all the other riders going round and racing, it really was great fun. Then I went straight from there to Germany and I’ve been riding around the roads in Germany on Suzukis - life is a bit sweet at the moment.
