Murray Walker may be best known as the voice of Formula One, but as far as he's concerned even the pinnacle of four-wheel motorsport doesn't come close to the excitement and drama of motorcycle racing.
this guy naled it - it s true and everyone knows!!!! ryder is ok - as far as im cioncerned moody could stick to magazines - he s gettin more and more biased all the time
Moody, Ryder and Mamola make a superb commentating team Moody for the emotion, Ryder for the technical view and Mamola for the racer's view...

i watched it up until last year and got the impression the guy was showing his preferences a bit too much, which shouldnt happen. Maybe i just got tired of it.
Motorcycles is the extremest of the extreme sports. There have been jet fighter pilots who state that motorcycle riding on a track is the only comparable thing (in excitement) to flying the fighter.
The only problem with two-wheel sports is that a 13500 Euro GSXR looks very like a GSV-R. On the contrary there's nothing like an F-1 car on our roads.
He's absolutely right-Just watch The Moto GP to confirm what he says!

On sunday Eurosport showed the BSB race 2 as well as the 24h Le Mans. Two completely different animals. Byrne and Rutter (TT?) really impressed me. Both were on the limit and an ever so smooth pass, considering the track, made Byrne go 2nd. I understand better now why he got a shot at MotoGp... he deserved it.
I wished every country would have a SB-series so well developed as the British. Part of a certain heritage I guess... . The number of available tracks on the island is also just mindblowing, I mean, compared to us on the continent...
For sure, BSB kicks **** more of this!!
And as far as F1 goes...Bikes are the purest form of motorracing. Simply uncomparable to 4-wheels

And I would like to add... Even Ace, Marty and me could agree on that. Right? So that about sums it up ;)

Julian, Moody and Randy are all bit biased. HOWEVER, they are reasonable people, and when somebody shows them it otherwise, they are more than happy to correct themselves on air. I personally prefer them over, say the BBC coverage. I seriously was falling asleep when I watched the BBC coverage. Julian, Moody and Randy are by far the most exciting, entertaining and informed team in motorcycle commentary world, at least the ones that speaks English And let's not forget Neil Spalding, who pops in every now and then, who knows so much about all of the technologies.
Eurosport is nigh on perfect except for the commerical breaks and being unable to stare at Suzi Perry

If you look on Eurosport.com they are coming under increasing flack for the ridiculous commercials throuout the race. Okay there's only usually 2 during the actual race, but for the first three races, it's always been while something dramatic has happened... Lucky for us UK viwers... we can just switch to BBC during the commercials (same footage, different commentary) for a few minutes.

I also switch to BBC if there is a commercial, but I find Cox absolutely insufferable - even worse than Johnathan Green. I also agree that Neil Spalding is superb. I was very impressed by the Eurosport 2 coverage of BSB - no advert breaks during races, no news banner at the bottom of the screen, excellent commentary and they even started bang on time and switched to BSB from some other sport where the commentator was half way through his sentence.
One fly in the ointment however - the coverage of the last WSB race was unfortunately not done by by Jack and James, but by Warwick Nowland and someone else neither of whom were a patch on Jack and James.

oh hell toby and jules are good commentators imo. there are many many many tripe commentators. bbc motogp team seem to spend most of their time trying to make jokes. dunno who's doing wsbk but we used to have jack burnacle (?) who was pretty clueless. Just like the bbc team there could be a change of the lead and they will only spot it 30seconds later. Then on wsbk web again obvious things the commentators getting things wrong...eg J Rae's crash...obviously a two bike incidedent but the commentators we sure there were three. most of them have their eyes closed imo. I know theres timing screens, stats and paperwork but toby and julian do all that and generally also keep their eye on the ball.
