The HM Plant Honda team showed the rest of the field a clean pair of heels at Mondello Park in Ireland, to take up the top two places during free practice three at round six of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Championship leader Ryuichi Kiyonari took up the number one spot once again in tricky conditions as the track was still drying out following non stop rain on Friday. His team-mate Jonathan Rea was in second place.

Third place went to Leon Haslam on the Airwaves Ducati while his team-mate Gregorio Lavilla was languishing in twelfth place. Leon Camier on the Bike Animal Honda was in fourth place and is hoping for a better time at Mondello that he had at Snetterton where he had to start from the back row of the grid.

Chris Walker on the Rizla Suzuki is getting to grips with the technical Irish circuit and was running in fifth place. New recruit to the Virgin Media Optoma Loans Yamaha team, Hudson Kennaugh was in an impressive sixth place. His team-mate Tommy Hill was further down the order in eleventh place.

Karl Harris on the Hydrex Honda which brought his road racing team-mate Guy Martin a huge amount of success at the Centenary TT, was in seventh place ahead of the second Rizla machine in the hands of Cal Crutchlow.

Ollie Bridewell on the NB Suzuki was in ninth and Tom Sykes rounded out the top ten on the Stobart Honda. His team-mate Shane Byrne opted to sit the session out due to the tricky conditions.
