One of the biggest selling items was a TT Replica medal donated by John McGuinness, which raised £3,000.

As leathers, boots, helmets, pictures, VIP passes and various other items rolled off the auction table the money came flooding in, helped by the efforts of Jack Burnicle, Scoop Carter and Jamie Whitham.

The Fund's initial purchase of a potable X-Ray machine was used countless times throughout the 2007 season - most recently on Saturday at Brands Hatch by Chris Walker, after he was injured during practice. "Today I got to use Chris' x-ray machine, it's mega!" said Stalker.

The Fund now plans to purchase further medical equipment for the British Superbike series, details of which can be found on www.cjnine.com
