If Valentino Rossi's helmet just isn't enough (see separate story), GSE Racing has announced it is selling the Ducati 999F06s that Gregorio Lavilla and Leon Haslam competed on in the 2007 British Superbike Championship.

The bikes are among four of only eight, of this type, built by the Italian factory in 2006 and the only ones with full official Airwaves livery.

The Superbikes are being sold individually by GSE Racing on eBay, for bids in excess of £40,000 for each bike.

The Airwaves Ducati team enjoyed two years of considerable BSB success on the 999F06, with Haslam finishing second (2006) and third (2007) in the title chase, while 2005 champion Lavilla was third and fourth during those seasons.

Airwaves and its new rider line-up of Shane Byrne and Leon Camier will compete on Ducati's new 1098R in 2008.
