With just three rounds to go Kiyo was 26 points clear of Rea and 60 points ahead of Haslam. Haslam grabbed pole at Cadwell and proceeded to beat Honda at their home track. Meanwhile Lavilla jumped the start and was given a twenty second penalty but he still managed to complete the race in seventh. Camier managed to crash and take down Rea with him. Rea remounted only to tumble off at Park corner. Haslam took the win from Kiyo and Sykes once again slotted into third place. Kiyo now had clear 46 points lead over his team-mate who was just 9 points ahead of Haslam.
Rea fought back in race two taking the win from Kiyo with Lavilla in third place. Camier had a huge off over the Mountain, landing badly, dislocating his knee, breaking his femur and cracking his pelvis – that was the end of his season. Haslam over cooked it and crashed at Park corner on the last lap. Rea's win left the point's situation thus, Kiyo 388, Rea 347, and Haslam 313.
The penultimate round took place at
Donington Park and the racing was as unpredictable as ever. Sykes picked up pole position and he was hoping it would translate into a win, but his luck was out.
Kiyo could have picked up the title at Donington; all he needed was a double win. Haslam took the win from an eventful race one, with Sykes and Byrne in second and third respectively. The HM Plant Honda team were having a bad day. Rea had tyre and suspension issues which caused him to run on at the Melbourne loop almost taking Haslam with him. Both stayed on board and rejoined the race, Haslam wasted no time in regaining the lead while Rea had to settle for fifth.
Kiyo was coming under pressure from Crutchlow who dived under him, unfortunately missing a gear, this was just enough to speed him up and cause him to crash, taking Kiyo with him.
