Team Trimite Brookspeed rider Leon Morris secured the Airwaves 'Kick Up A Gear' award at
Oulton Park for his performance during the latest rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
Morris, who qualified in 31st position, fought his way through to finish 17th in a wet first race and then finished 24th in an action packed second race in what was only his second meeting with the team.
The youngster, who has secured a place on the Airwaves Scholarship scheme for his debut BSB campaign, picked up the award which is presented to the rider who has gained the most places from their qualifying position at each race over the course of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship season.
Throughout the season each rider will receive points equal to the number of places gained at the end of each race. The most points accumulated throughout the season, over twelve rounds, determines the overall Airwaves 'Kick Up A Gear' award winner who will receive a cheque for £4,000 from Wrigley's Airwaves.
