Cal Crutchlow keeps his BSB title campaign alive with a little help from Coventry City and a bloke called Toby.

"Very disappointed really to be honest," was his assessment of the day. "First race I got a terrible start and fought through with lap times as quick as the leaders so I knew I could stay with them with a good start second time round.

"I got away well second time and was trying pull a gap when the back came round at Surtees. I pulled the clutch in but as I released it I was in neutral which forced me off the track onto the escape road."

"To be positive I recovered well after that, aided by the safety car obviously, but again my lap times were on a par with the leaders so I know I have the pace, I just need some luck!"
