Jones' Portuguese team-mate Miguel Praia will also be joining the action.

"This can only help us for later in the year. I know the British Championship is very competitive and with Rea and Pitt racing as well, it will be very fast. That is just what we need to test ourselves," he said.

After three rounds of the 2008 British Supersport Championship, Australian Glen Richards (Embassy Racing Triumph) is leading South African Hudson Kennaugh (Raceways Yamaha) by seven points. Third placed Steve Brogan (HM Plant Honda) has also won one race.
